Abstract:

The Major health issue among adolescent girls, ages 10-19, is anaemia. Nowadays, anaemia is a global public health burden influencing both advancing and advanced (developed and developing?) countries. The phase of adolescence is the stage of robust growth following childhood. The basic physiological and secondary sexual change that happens in adolescents necessitates a greater demand of nutritional requirements. There is strong evidence that supplementation of health mixes using various nutritious ingredients intervenes anaemia. Anaemia at an early stage/late stage of adolescence causes reduced physical as well as mental capacity and diminished concentration in all areas of work, especially in their educational performance. In our current review, we have documented on a diet that would make adolescent girls look slim/thin but, also provide iron content in their supplement. Furthermore, a diet where iron is deficient can lead to anaemia as well as genetic and acquired diseases occur due to dysregulation of the iron cycle. Consequently, iron deficiency or excess synthesis is both revealed to possess detrimental effects on adolescent girls. Our study will also focus on the development of diagnosis and therapy for anaemia as well as emphasise the latest methods used for detection of anaemia which might provide a more effective approach.
