Steviol quantification at the picomol level by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography

An accurate and sensitive measurement of steviol – the aglycon of stevioside – is a prerequisite in the assessment of the metabolism of stevioside. The present paper reports on the development of a sensitive method for the quantification of steviol in biological samples.
