Preliminary study on green selenium-enriched and safe pork production

According to quality control requirements for the entire process from soil to dining table, a study of green selenium (Se)-rich pork production was performed to environment control of production with healthy culture in Kaiyang County (Guiyang City, Guizhou Province, China). Green and Se- riched feed was prepared with Se-rich maize and rice bran grown in the project area and green Se-rich pork (Se content 0.11 mg kg-1) was obtained using environmental control of a healthy culture, with all results meeting the national standards of the PRC for green pork. The key technologies were achieved which is about healthy culture and environment control and then been applied in the project area to promote cleaner production and develop distinctive characteristics of pollution-free pork.
