Investigating factors affecting attraction of teafarmers in groups of pressure irrigation system (Case study of Lahijan County, Iran)

Abstract:

The purpose of this article is to identify effective factors on attracting tea farmers in groups of under-pressure irrigation. The research was conducted in the form of survey study. The population of the research included the membership and non-membership teafarmers in groups of pressure irrigation in Lahijan county, Iran, from which 135 teafarmers were sampled by using a multistage sampling procedure. Data was collected through a questionnaire. By using factor analysis, variables summarized in five factors, personal, organizational, climatic, economic and social, explained 51.874% of total variance of components on attracting teafarmers in groups of under-pressure irrigation. The organizational factor, with 17%, was most important in attracting teafarmers in groups of pressure irrigation in Iran.
