Abstract:

One of the problems in the greenhouse soil is the secondary salinization. In order to solve this problem, a subsurface drainage system was buried in the soil of the greenhouse. This system was installed with two methods: space of 6 m and depth of 40 cm (Tr1); space of 8 m and depth of 70 cm (Tr2). Examples of properties that were studied include the soil EC, saturated hydraulic conductivity and bulk density. Results showed that the subsurface pipe drainage was able to reduce the EC value of the secondary salinization of soil remarkably, which was evidently below the control. Saturated hydraulic conductivity of soil increased, bulk density decreased, but bulk porosity rose compared to control. All these indicators of Tr2 were better than those of Tr1. Hence, it is concluded that the effects of Tr2 on the improvement of secondary salinization in plastic greenhouse were more significant than those of Tr1.
