Interest on costs and benefits approach in environmental sustainability: Focusing on Islamic banking

Abstract:Interest approach, which concerns with costs and benefits, would lead for environmental sustainability. This can be done through banking industry, which includes both conventional and Islamic banking. The used of the interest approach, which concerns with costs and benefits to the area of environmental sustainability, largely in response to the necessity to safeguard the environmental surrounding area. Therefore, this paper examined the use of the interest approach, which concerns with costs and benefits, which promote environmental sustainability from the environmental management perspectives; identify actions, which deal with the protection for the environment as well as a tool for the achievement in sustainable development.
