Abstract:The study aims to map the literatures published in the various socio-economic dimensions of organic agriculture in India for the period 2000 to 2018 and explore the relationships found within it. A total of 45 research works published in six major journal portals is considered for the review. The review was done along with various socio-economic parameters namely (a) consumer behaviour, (b) economic analysis, (c) farmer’s awareness knowledge and benefits, (d) contract farming, (e)value chain, (f) supply chain, (g)public policy and environmental management. From the study, it was found that the majority, i.e.27% of literatures were published in consumer behaviour domain. Based on the literature review, a new conceptual model is suggested by integrating all the parameters considered for the study.
