Abstract:

During the hatching process of eggs, rejecting unfertilized eggs and the dead embryonic egg timely and promptly is helpful in the enhancement of hatching efficiency. This article presents a non-destructive testing method of hatching eggs’ survival based on machine vision. Group images of hatching eggs in the pallet were collected by using a machine vision device, and the single egg images were obtained through effective image processing. Through the component analysis of RGB image, it was found that the difference of g-component, b-component and H-component of the three kinds of eggs’ image are obvious. A fuzzy distinction model and Bayesian recognition model were established using the eggs’ colour parameters. In order to realize accurate positioning of each egg in the pallet, the different algorithm of even-odd arrays was designed according to the egg pallet contour characteristic. The experimental results indicated that the detection accuracy reached above 95%.
