Problem in commercialization of university research: Agriculture inventions in Malaysia

Abstract:

This study argues that the seemingly less stringent screening criteria to analyze the commercialization Malaysia university research based on the agriculture invention. The literature so far reviewed shows that commercialization of university research only focus on the developing start-up, licensing and patenting development in the developing countries. Aiming to contribute to such literature, we look at Malaysian university to understand the commercialization process, and strategy and capturing these impacts in future research will be a formidable but necessary challenge when comparing different technology transfer mechanisms.
