Study on farmer’s demand desire for agricultural machinery insurance in China

Abstract:

As a new form, mutual insurance plays an important role in the development of China’s agricultural machinery insurance. With Logistic regression method, a model was constructed to study the factors to the demand in agricultural machinery mutual insurance. The result showed that factors like the influence of rural households income, the level of demand, the premium, compensation and government subsidies are obvious, and reasonable amount of insurance premium has negative effect, while the other factors and agricultural households purchase of agricultural machinery mutual insurance take on positive correlation.
