Abstract:

In centural Loess Plateau, compound agricultural fruit production system is not only a way of soil and water conservation but also a main mode of agroforestry ecosystem. Crop-fruit system mode of Yan’an, Shaanxi Province Beigou village (N 35°21’ ~ N 37°31’, E 107 °41’ ~ E 110°31’) and Xipo village Chunhua (N 34°43’ to N 35°03’, E 108°18’ ~ E 108°50’) is a typical case. Farmers ecological system was used as the basic unit to emergy analysis and questionnaire survey method in a comparative analysis of compound agricultural fruit production system in centural Loess Plateau (Crop-fruit agricultural subsystem, fruit-animal husbandry agricultural subsystem and compound agricultural fruit production system). Analysis included emergy inputs, outputs, structural condition and sustainable development indicators, quantitative calculation of the internal structure of the reaction complex system and its development and the general characteristics. The results showed that crop-fruit system emergy was put into the highest intensity, strength was the highest capacity. From the emergy of the structure, agricultural production in two villages was much dependent on non-renewable resources and economic input. From the indicators of sustainable development, the two villages did not have strong environmental carrying capacity, net energy output was low and sustainable development of system was weak.
