Impact of the IT capability on green innovation: Evidence from the manufacturing industry

Abstract:In order to coordinate the development of the information technology (IT) capability and green innovation in manufacturing enterprises to enhance enterprises’ core competitiveness, the impact of the IT capability on green innovation were analyzed from four aspects including R&D IT capability, production IT capability, management IT capability, and business IT capability. A concept model was also constructed. 172 manufacturing enterprises in China were chosen as research objects, and data analysis was performed by Structural Equation Model. The empirical results show that IT capability has impact on green innovation, and the impact intensity varies for different IT capabilities.
