Abstract:

This study applied data mining technique to analyze 10,757 samples from the database of the “Public Nuisance Petition Handling System” established by Taichung City Government in Taiwan to help clarify the correlation between the hidden factors and causes in public nuisance. The results show that noise pollution is linked to government agencies and commercial businesses, air pollution is linked to commerce and industry; water and waste pollution are linked to the public, and public places are linked to waste pollution. In the future, relevant organizations may refer to the results of this study to develop public nuisance prevention policies and management applications.
